Trust and verification
Last updated 29 July 2026
Each badge means one specific thing that a person at My Support Finder checked, on a date we record. Badges are separate so you can see exactly what was verified.
What each badge means
- Identity verified
- We confirmed the organisation and the person managing the account are who they say they are.
- ABN verified
- We checked the ABN against the Australian Business Register and it is active.
- NDIS registration verified
- We sighted the registration and the registration groups, and recorded the expiry date.
- Insurance verified
- We sighted a current certificate of currency for public liability and, where relevant, professional indemnity.
- Qualification verified
- We sighted evidence of a specific qualification or professional registration.
- Current capacity confirmed
- The provider confirmed their availability within the last 7 days.
- Reviews verified
- Reviews shown come only from participants with a confirmed service relationship.
What verification does not mean
- It is not a quality rating. We do not assess how good a provider's support is.
- It is not a safety guarantee. Verification is a documents check, not supervision.
- It is not government or NDIS approval. We are an independent platform.
- An unregistered provider is never shown as registered. Where a provider is not NDIS registered, we say so on every result.
How verification is decided
Creating an account does not make a provider verified. Evidence is submitted, reviewed by a person, and either approved, approved with conditions, sent back for more information, or rejected — always with a recorded reason. Software may help read a document, but no automated system approves a provider.
Registrations, insurances and qualifications carry expiry dates. We remind providers before they lapse, and a listing that goes out of date is flagged or removed rather than left to look current.
If something looks wrong
If a listing seems misleading, tell us. Misleading listings are a complaint category in their own right and we investigate them.
