NDIS provider registration & business launch

Become an NDIS provider — with the right systems behind you.

From registration and tailored policies to business setup, workforce preparation, participant onboarding and audit readiness, we help you build a provider organisation that works in practice — not just on paper.

  • Australia-wide support
  • Tailored documentation
  • Practical implementation
  • Participant-centred systems
  • Independent audit pathway
  • Support after registration

My Support Finder provides registration consulting and audit-readiness support. Official audits are conducted separately by an independent, NDIS Commission-approved quality auditor that you choose and contract directly. Audit fees are separate from our fees, and registration decisions are made solely by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

The journey

What building a provider business actually involves

Not a guaranteed timeline — different providers need a different scope of each stage, and some stages (like Registered) are where a provider stays for years, not weeks.

  1. Step 1: Business and eligibility discovery

A free assessment of your intended services, entity structure and current stage.

  2. Step 2: Service and registration-pathway guidance

Understanding of the likely registration group, complexity and audit pathway for what you plan to deliver.

  3. Step 3: Business foundation

Operating structure, enquiry and referral workflows, records management, and the systems a provider needs before it can operate responsibly.

  4. Step 4: Policies and operational systems

Documentation tailored to your services and registration groups — not a generic template with your name inserted.

  5. Step 5: Application and self-assessment support

Preparation for the registration application and self-assessment, with you remaining in control of everything submitted.

  6. Step 6: Evidence implementation

Turning policies into practice: worker files, participant records, registers and the day-to-day evidence an auditor will actually look for.

  7. Step 7: Audit-readiness preparation

An internal review against what Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits typically check, before the real one.

  8. Step 8: Independent quality audit

Conducted by an auditor you choose and contract directly — never us. See the disclosure below.

  9. Step 9: Commission assessment

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission reviews the audit report and makes the registration decision. Not us, and not the auditor.

  10. Step 10: Operational launch

Portal and claiming readiness, worker onboarding, and a first-90-day compliance calendar.

  11. Step 11: Participant onboarding

Intake, consent, service agreement and risk-assessment workflows you can run consistently.

  12. Step 12: Marketplace activation

A separate, optional application to the My Support Finder participant marketplace — reviewed on its own criteria. See the section below.

  13. Step 13: Ongoing compliance

Policy updates, file reviews, an internal audit routine, and a calendar for mid-term reviews and renewal.

Services

Everything the business behind the registration needs

Registration support

Registration-group guidance, application preparation, self-assessment workshops, evidence mapping and submission-readiness review. You remain meaningfully involved and approve everything submitted.

Policies and procedures

Tiered documentation — verification, Core Module, supplementary modules, SIL, high-intensity, behaviour support, participant and worker documents, forms and registers — each version-controlled with an owner, review date and implementation status.

Business setup

Operating structure, enquiry and referral workflows, records and privacy processes, incident escalation, complaint handling and a compliance calendar. Regulated legal, accounting, insurance and financial advice is referred to qualified professional partners.

Workforce systems

Position descriptions, recruitment and screening workflows, induction, training matrices, supervision and a worker-file checklist that stays current rather than going stale after the audit.

Participant onboarding

Referral through to service commencement: conflict checks, consent, funding verification, risk assessment, service agreements, worker matching and check-ins at 7 and 30 days. This helps you build safe systems — it does not guarantee referrals, marketplace ranking or revenue.

Audit readiness

Evidence-gap assessment, an evidence-room structure, governance-interview preparation and mock evidence tracing — called Audit Readiness or a Pre-Audit Review here, never "the audit" itself.

Registration rescue

For incorrect registration-group selections, generic policies, incomplete applications, auditor document requests, or minor and major non-conformities. Individually scoped and quoted after a diagnostic review, not a fixed package.

SIL and complex supports

House-level documentation, workforce training plans and intensive evidence implementation for Supported Independent Living, high-intensity daily personal activities, behaviour support and similarly complex service types.

Ongoing compliance

A recurring membership covering policy updates, regulatory alerts, file reviews, an internal audit program and calendars for mid-term audits, renewals and scope variations.

Packages

Indicative investment bands

Every engagement is scoped to what you are actually registering for. These bands are a starting point for the conversation, not a fixed price list — your assessment result will name the package that fits, and the exact figure comes from a proposal after a discovery call.

  • Free Provider Roadmap

    Free

An online assessment, a likely pathway and complexity level, preparation priorities, and an indicative investment band. No commitment.

  • Policy Foundation

    From $1,500 + GST

A tailored document scope, policies and procedures, forms and registers, a document-control system and an implementation checklist.

  • Registration Ready

    From $3,000 + GST

The Roadmap, registration guidance, tailored documentation, self-assessment workshops, evidence mapping and audit-readiness preparation.

  • Provider Launch

    From $6,500 + GST

Registration Ready plus the business operating system, workforce systems, participant onboarding, and a first-90-day implementation plan.

  • SIL & Complex Launch

    From $10,000 + GST

Complex-service modules, SIL operational systems, workforce training and intensive evidence implementation.

  • Registration Rescue

    Quoted after diagnostic review

For incorrect scopes, incomplete applications or non-conformities. Scoped individually rather than sold as a fixed package.

Ongoing compliance is available separately as a recurring membership once you are operating. Ask about it on your discovery call.

Marketplace activation

A separate application, reviewed on its own terms

Working with us on registration or compliance does not add you to the My Support Finder participant marketplace, verify you, or affect how staff shortlist providers. Once you hold a registration outcome, you may separately apply to the marketplace — that application is reviewed against the marketplace's own verification criteria, independently of anything in your consulting engagement.

Questions providers ask us

Do you conduct the official NDIS audit?

No. We provide registration consulting and audit-readiness preparation. Your quality audit is conducted by an independent, NDIS Commission-approved auditor that you choose and contract directly, and you can request multiple quotes or change auditors where permitted. Audit fees are separate from ours, and the registration decision is made by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — not by us and not by the auditor.

Do you guarantee registration or a pass at audit?

No, and we would not trust anyone who told you otherwise. The outcome depends on your evidence, your systems and the auditor and Commission's independent assessment. What we can do is help you prepare thoroughly and honestly, and tell you plainly where a gap remains rather than paper over it.

Are your policies just a template with our name added?

No. Every document we produce records the organisation, the applicable services and registration groups, a version number, an owner, a review date and an implementation status. A generic document that only changes the business name is exactly what we build against — see the Policies and Procedures section above.

What happens after I get registered?

Registration is a starting point, not a finish line. We help with portal and claiming readiness, worker onboarding, a first-90-day compliance calendar, and — separately — an application to the My Support Finder participant marketplace if you want one. Ongoing compliance is available afterwards as a recurring membership.

How marketplace activation works

Does working with you get me marketplace referrals?

No. Registration consulting and the participant marketplace are separate, and staying separate is deliberate — see the Marketplace activation section above. A consulting engagement never affects marketplace ranking, visibility or verification.

Marketplace activation

I already have some documents. Do I need the full package?

Tell us in the assessment. If you already hold usable documentation, the recommendation is usually narrower — registration guidance and gap-filling rather than a full document build. The assessment is free either way.

What if I already have a non-conformity or a stalled application?

That is Registration Rescue, and it is scoped individually after a diagnostic review rather than sold as a fixed package, because what is needed depends entirely on what an auditor or the Commission actually found.
